THRIVE
If you or a loved one is experiencing relationship abuse, THRIVE is here for you.
THRIVE is a FREE, non-judgmental, respective, inclusive, confidential support program for all individuals affected by relationship abuse .
THRIVE is a program offered by Healthy Families Healthy Futures. With an office right in Athabasca, THRIVE:
- Works directly with clients on a one-on-one basis.
- Meets clients in the office, out in the community or over the phone.
- Tailors the support services individually to each client.
- Conducts education and awareness seminars to local children and youth.
Types of support provided by THRIVE:
- Danger assessments & safety plans.
- Referrals to relevant agencies.
- Support sessions.
- Goal setting.
- Listening.
- Transportation to local women's shelters or emergency hotel rooms.
- Bus and taxi rides.
- Assist clients to complete workbooks about personal growth and development.

THRIVE is a program partnership of Healthy Families Healthy Futures and the Athabasca and Area Prevention of Relationship Abuse Action Committee.
PRAAC is a local volunteer committee that advocates for local relationship abuse programming and fundraises to financially support THRIVE in Athabasca.
